Healthy Writers Club: A Weak Week

Hosted by Shallee McArthur

Here's where you take me to task.

My goal in September was to lose 10 pounds.

Didn't happen.

But I have excuses reasons! I spent one week preparing for guests, then another week entertaining guests. And I wouldn't want to starve my guests, right?

So exercise sort of fell by the wayside. I did take a few short walks, though.

Here are my stats for the week, according to my fitbit:

Weekly steps: 14,288
Weekly miles: 5.87
Sedentary 94%

Yeah, it looks good until you see that last statistic.

But I'll try to be better!

How did you do last week?

Well life just wouldn't be...life...if it didn't throw a monkey wrench into our best intentions. Sounds like you did what you could and are ready to go again. By the way, what are you doing to lose weight? I have a 20 lb goal by Jan 1. 1.5 a week. Should be doable right? Not so far....

The 94% kinda makes it look like nothing happened, but be encouraged. There's always next week.

I didn't lose 10 pounds last month either. I did lose, just not enough. Keep it up though! Every step, right?

The best laid plans, and the monkey wrenches are so numerous in my life. Still, I'm going to set a goal for Oct of 5lbs. That has to be doable, right?

With all that company preparation and entertaining 94% is definitely wrong.

Um...as far as I know I didn't gain any weight. Does that count? :-)

Julie, that's for sure!

Joy, I am encouraged. Next week will be better!

Joshua, you probably didn't need to lose!

Yolanda, totally doable!

Angela, why yes, yes it does:)

14,000 plus steps in a week? Wow, I do that many in a day dodging my students and the Principal.

Here in Manila I choose to be sans a car because "whitey" is rich and always at fault. Ergo, I get a lot of exercise in as well as some swimming.

Don't give up!

Trying to be better is better than not trying at all. :) I didn't have a great week last week either, but I still tried!
