I was on my blogger dashboard, just surfing around, and clicked on the "comments" tab. Wow, I thought. There are almost 700 comments in here. I should delete them so my blog will be faster. And so I did. Not realizing that these deleted comments would also delete the comments that showed up on my posts. And now all my posts are bare, naked, unloved!
I want them back!

Joshua, thank you. I delete my deleted emails about once per month, but I have a ton of them in there now. I don't know what it means to "moderate" your comments - I'm notified of comments via my email...anyway, I will def try this later...Thank you so much!

I moderate comments to approve them in an effort to keep my readers from having to view spam comments that turn up every so often. It's the situation when you post a comment and see the "Your comment will be visible upon approval by this blog's owner" message.
Your receiving them in your email is adequate enough so that you can re-post the comments yourself. One by one.
I wish I could help you. I did the same thing...but I deleted my entire website. Everything was wiped out. I'm like you - I know just enough to be dangerous.
